From New York to Timbuktu, people all over the world are struggling to improve their lives and their communities.
While these processes are not new, as the history of social movements and popular struggles clearly documents, we believe the world is entering a new era of movements for global justice. What used to be seen as separate issues–from racial justice and labor rights to human trafficking and environmental health–are increasingly seen as connected. Like a spider’s web, when if we pull on one of these global threads, the whole web of issues is affected.
The idea of global justice helps us to think about a wide range of issues from the perspective of our interconnected, global world.
